We are gearing up for another addition to Danjo Farms CSA farmshare program - the winter CSA. This will include "Winter Veggies Only" with lots of lettuce, spinach, radish, green onions, chard, turnips, mustard greens, micro greens, cabbage, carrots, mache, and some herbs. the season will run the first week of November to the middle of April. We have green housing available to grow out produce for the winter yet we might run into a week or two without produce. Our blog site on the home page will offer the details for the weekly availability at drop points. Our hope is to see this process develop into a meaningful and consistent farmshare program for all. We will be offering the "Add Eggs Please", "Add Citrus Fruit Please" (from our southern organic farmer families), "Add Meats Please" with our pork & chicken, "Add Fresh Baked Bread" and new for the winter CSA this year will be "Add Jams, Pickles and Sauce Please" as people have raved about the local value-added products from Missouri farmers this year. Danjo Farms has created an "All Missouri" Country Store right here on the farm! We have lots of home-spun country goodies for you and your family to enjoy! Open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. No Sunday sales. Currently we are closed from December 21st, January, February and to March 21st. Lots of products from local Missouri farmers ranging from BBQ sauce, honey and rice to sorghum molasses, jams and hot mustard. Local grass-fed beef, pastured pork and chicken to milk, butter and eggs. We have open-pollenated garden seed, onion sets, seed potatoes and lots of unique crafts. Home-made baked goods are available on Tuesdays and by special order! With all types of vegetables, nuts, berries and fruit in season. Come by friends, you'll be glad you did! |
